The reward was officially signed at the first of June 2009, by the general manager Johan Remeeus, and Workers Rights Watch representatives……

The management of Van den Berg RoseS Kenya sees this reward as an acknowledgement of their efforts regarding;

  • Corporate social responsibility
  • Good and fair personnel management

Since the start of the company in 2004, corporate social responsibility always has been a mayor focus of the management. In 2004 it started with salaries higher then the industrial average, and free health care for employees. While nowadays van den Berg RoseS Kenya is running several programs and committees in order to raise living standards of employees.

Examples of these programs and committies are;

  • Free health care for employees, and reduced prices for their families by our own clinic.
  • Welfare committee, which deals with welfare of van den Berg employees.
